- Burns slow
- Hard to start
- “Dry” means protected from rain
- Hardwoods
- Best for heating
- Oak, Madrone, Laurel, etc.
- Eucalyptus – starts hard & burns longer
- Mix of species varies by season
- Sorting the pile is ok if you pick up
- Softwood
- Good crackle & pop – less heat
- Good for “effect” or outside fire pit
- Pine, Fir, & Redwood
- Deliveries are either randomly
- Mixed Hardwood or
- Mixed Softwood
- Sorting the pile is ok if you pick up
- Tarps or sheds recommended for storage
- Pallets are good for beyond Year-1
